Assistant Professor - Colorectal
Position Summary:
The Department of Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time academic faculty position in Colorectal Surgery at the Assistant Professor level. This position is based in the Baltimore area. The ideal candidate will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, innovation, and research within one of the nation's leading academic health systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care in colorectal surgery, managing both benign and malignant diseases using open, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques.
- Play an active role in surgical education, including bedside teaching, didactic instruction, and curriculum development for residents and fellows.
- Engage in clinical or translational research initiatives with opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety efforts within the division and across the Johns Hopkins Health System.
- Participate in institutional and departmental service, including committee work and professional society involvement.
