Assistant Professor, Faculty Position in Biochemistry & Physiology

The Department of Biochemistry & Physiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences (OUHSC) invites applications for tenured/tenure-track faculty positions. We especially welcome candidates investigating inflammation, cellular senescence, immunology, lipid metabolism, and/or neurodegeneration. Applicants conducting research on the basic biology of aging will have an opportunity to hold a secondary appointment in the Center for Geroscience and Healthy Brain Aging (CfG).

Candidates are expected to establish innovative, externally funded research programs and contribute to teaching and service within the department and the university. Applicants must hold a PhD and/or MD and demonstrate a strong record of research achievements. Candidates should have substantial postdoctoral experience and clear potential to develop a nationally recognized, extramurally funded research program. Successful applicants will receive an extensive mentorship, a competitive salary, a generous multi-year start-up package, and newly renovated laboratory space.
