Job Description
The Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Science at Le Moyne College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin August 2026. The department seeks candidates in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields who are dedicated to undergraduate teaching excellence with a commitment to a strong research agenda at a comprehensive liberal arts institution, and who welcome opportunities for curriculum development, student advising, and mentoring. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory statistical courses, courses supporting the pre-engineering program such as probability theory or differential equations, and courses related to the successful candidate’s area of expertise. Expectations are teaching 3 courses per semester (or 9 credit hours per semester), establishing a productive research program, and service within and outside of the college. Mentoring undergraduate students in research is highly encouraged. Le Moyne College offers strong support for undergraduate and faculty research.

Salary Range
$72,000 - $75,000 annually
Requirements
Qualified candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree or in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field by the position start date. Candidates should also possess undergraduate teaching experience and evidence of an active research agenda.
