Overview

The Department of Finance in the School of Business at Providence College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in finance at the rank of assistant professor, commencing August 2026. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in joining a well-regarded predominantly undergraduate business school with a teacher-scholar model that balances teaching and research. The candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in corporate finance at the beginning and intermediate levels, among other courses, including at the MBA level. A Ph.D. in finance or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution is required. ABDS with anticipated completion by the time of appointment will also be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities

Housed in the Arthur F. and Patricia Ryan Center for Business Studies, the School of Business is an AACSB-accredited, fast-growing, innovative institution of higher learning committed to faculty and student excellence. The ideal candidate for this position will be committed to high-quality teaching, impactful research, and supportive student advising, and a successful candidate will be expected to engage in service activities for the school and the college.

Education and Experience

A successful candidate will also be expected to conduct scholarly research in their area of concentration consistent with AACSB standards.
