Assistant Professor of Sport Management
The Maine Business School (AACSB Accredited) at the University of Maine seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Sport Management, with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2026. This will be a full-time, ongoing appointment, renewed annually based on satisfactory performance.
New faculty must establish a research program leading to publications in refereed journals in their area of expertise. The successful candidate will be expected to be an effective and engaging teacher, to make a strong commitment to the development of innovative curricula, to advise and mentor undergraduates in pursuit of their academic and professional goals, and to collaborate with colleagues to increase student success. Our primary teaching needs are in sport sales & sponsorship and revenue generation. The position will offer a competitive salary and research support.
The typical teaching load is two courses per semester at the undergraduate level for the first two years, after which you will teach a load of three courses one semester and two courses one semester. The candidate will be expected to participate in the maintenance of AACSB accreditation and remain academically qualified.

The candidate should also foster collaborative relationships with the business community.
