Job Summary
The Department of History at the University of Texas at Tyler invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position specializing in 20th-century American history. The successful candidate will teach courses on US History in the 20th century, US History survey courses, and other courses within the candidate's field of research. The successful candidate will join an academically vibrant community, making impactful contributions to teaching, research, and community service.

Key Responsibilities

• A 3/3 course load of student-facing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Maintain regular on-campus presence.
• Attend departmental meetings.

Required Qualifications

• The successful candidate should have an earned Ph.D. in History by May 2026
• Should demonstrate the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, maintain a record of research, advise students, and serve the Department, College of Arts and Sciences, and the University.
