Assistant Teaching Professor in the Wake Forest University Department of Biology
The Department of Biology welcomes applications for a permanent teaching-track (non-tenure) faculty position as an Assistant Teaching Professor to teach introductory biology, genetics, and upper level courses in the applicant’s area of specialization. The position begins July 1, 2026. Skillful teaching is a key responsibility, with a course load of six (6) courses over two (2) semesters. At Wake Forest, teaching professors hold a renewable position with an initial appointment of two years. Teaching Professors are fully integrated members of the Wake Forest faculty, with 9-month full-time appointments and eligibility for promotion through the ranks of Assistant, Associate, and Full. Teaching faculty are expected to support the Wake Forest University mission through service to the institution.
