Assistant Teaching Professor of Neuroscience in the Wake Forest University Department of Biology.
The Department of Biology welcomes applications for a permanent teaching-track (non-tenure) faculty position as an Assistant Teaching Professor to support a new major in Neuroscience. The position begins July 1, 2026. Skillful teaching is a key responsibility, with a course load of six (6) courses over two (2) semesters that includes courses at both introductory and advanced undergraduate levels. At Wake Forest, teaching professors hold a renewable position with an initial appointment of two years. Teaching Professors are fully integrated members of the Wake Forest faculty, with 9-month full-time appointments and eligibility for promotion through the ranks of Assistant, Associate, and Full. Teaching faculty are expected to support the Wake Forest University mission through service to the institution.
