Position Description

The Project Management Program in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts at Arizona State University invites applications for two (2) career-track faculty positions in our rapidly expanding BS and MS degrees. The successful candidates will prepare and teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in project management, depending upon their expertise, and they will participate in faculty service to the institution and profession. These appointments are 80% teaching (four courses per semester) and 20% service and begin August 2026.

With guidance from ASU's faculty and strong collaboration with PMI, industry, and educational partners, we offer a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, along with certificate and non-degree workforce development initiatives. These provide numerous opportunities for personal development, career engagement, and knowledge advancement.

These are full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure-eligible positions with promotion possibilities. They are renewable on an academic year basis, contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the university. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Candidates must reside in Arizona or be willing to relocate.

Essential Functions:

  • Expectations for this position include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in multiple scales and modalities (typically four courses per semester)
  • Providing service to the unit, college, and university

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Project Management or related field preferred, OR master’s degree in project management/related field plus 5 years of professional project management experience.
  • Experience teaching or training in multiple instructional contexts.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree(s) from one of ASU’s peer institutions or similar.
  • Current PMP certification OR ability to acquire PMP certification within one year of appointment.
  • Experience developing and/or managing curriculum.
  • Demonstrated commitment to values expressed by the ASU Charter.
