"Associate or Full Professor in Population Health and Implementation Science"

The Faculty of Health at York University invites applications for a Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in Population Health and Implementation Science. This tenure-track appointment is set to commence on July 1, 2027, or soon after, with the candidate identifying a home department within the Faculty of Health, such as Psychology, Global Health, Health Policy and Management, Kinesiology and Health Science, Medicine, or Nursing, or a joint appointment.

The role seeks a renowned expert in implementation science, focusing on equity-oriented and transdisciplinary approaches to population health issues like infectious diseases, housing, non-communicable diseases, mental health, and more. The successful candidate must demonstrate expertise in implementation theory, rigorous research designs, knowledge translation, community partnerships, external funding, and leading programs in implementation research.

Key qualifications include a PhD, MD, or equivalent, a strong record of innovative research, teaching excellence, and leadership in equity, diversity, and inclusivity. The candidate should have experience in health services in low- and middle-income countries, with relevance to Canada, and knowledge of Canadian and global health systems.

The appointment involves teaching, graduate supervision, and service to the university. The CERC provides funding of $500,000 per year for 8 years, subject to approval.
