Associate Producer
Job Summary
Works closely with Associate Director of Media Production to assist in the production of university video, photography, and live event projects.
Responsibilities
- Creates and manages production timelines, secures locations, and organizes any production-related elements (props, wardrobe, catering, etc.) for video, photo shoots, and live events. Also manages schedules for talent, crew, and other offsite contractors for these productions.
- Collaborates with the Creative Director and Executive Producer in the development of program ideas, concepts and recommendations.
- Conducts or organizes research for projects.
- Gathers information from available sources.
- May assist in writing scripts or segment scripts in consultation with the Creative Director.
- May participate in writing finished scripts.
- Makes personal contact with the general public or representatives of government, private agencies, businesses and organizations.
- Arranges interviews for program material and conducts interviews as necessary.
- Gathers, organizes and coordinates scripts, music, props, sets, talent, facilities and other needs for video/photography productions

Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
Creative Media Producer, II: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
Preferences
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
We are looking for someone with at least 5-years experience in both on-set filming and editing. We also want someone with an upbeat and can-do attitude.
