Associate Research Scientist
The Yuste Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences at Columbia University in the City of New York invites applications for an Associate Research Scientist position.
The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research focused on understanding how neuronal circuits give rise to emergent functional properties. The research will employ electrophysiological techniques along with a variety of advanced optical methods—several of which were developed in the Yuste Lab—including calcium imaging, two-photon imaging, two-photon uncaging, two-photon optogenetics, and holographic microscopy.
PhD in Neuroscience or a related field.
Preferred qualification: At least 5 years of experience using calcium imaging to monitor neuronal populations.
Additional experience in computational analysis of data or molecular biology will be a plus.
