The UCLA Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (AOS) invites applications for a position of Associate Researcher whose research will focus on space physics. The research includes the following activities:
- Numerical modeling of the dynamic variability of radiation belt fluxes
- Data analysis from spacecraft observations including the Van Allen Probes, Arase, THEMIS, and other related spacecraft data sets
- Publication of high quality journal papers in top-rated academic journals
- Presentation of study results in international conferences
- Proposal writing to NASA, NSF, and other federal agencies
