Position Overview

The Management and Entrepreneurship Area of the School of Business at the University of Kansas invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Strategic Management and International Business with a start date of August 18, 2026.

This position will interact with students, faculty, and the broader business and international community through research, teaching, and service. Duties:

• 40% Research
  Conduct and publish research on strategic management and/or international business in leading academic journals.
• 40% Teaching
  Teach required and elective undergraduate or graduate level courses in strategic management and international business. Courses may be taught at the Lawrence campus and/or online...
• 20% Service
  Engage in Area, School, University, and professional service activities.

Required Qualifications

1. A Ph.D. in Strategic Management, International Business, International Management or related field (must be earned by August 18, 2026).
2. Demonstrated (or evidence of high potential for) scholarship excellence as shown through publications in leading management journals...
3. Demonstrated (or evidence of high potential for) teaching excellence in both strategic management and international business or related fields.
4. Candidates at the Associate Professor level must meet the requirements for Promotion and Tenure at that level for the School of Business at the University of Kansas.
