About this opportunity:
The Department of Elementary Education is seeking a full-time, temporary (one-year, non-renewable) contract faculty member for the 2026-27 AY. Primary responsibilities include teaching on-campus undergraduate and graduate courses in elementary education, partnering with school and community agencies, and performing other duties assigned by the department chairperson.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
What you'll do and what you will bring:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Elementary Education.
- Partnering with school and community agencies.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Department Chairperson.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Elementary Education or related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.
- At least three years (6 academic semesters / 24 months) of elementary level classroom teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Elementary Education or related field from an accredited institution, university teaching experience, knowledge and experience working with diverse learners, experience partnering with schools and/or community agencies, teaching experiences with preservice teachers in the field, and knowledge of shifts in literacy practices (i.e., Science of Reading).
