Position Summary: Assist student-athletes in their academic endeavors by providing supplemental support. This part-time position requires academic mentors to meet with student-athletes weekly during regularly scheduled sessions to foster academic independence and encourage self-regulated learning. Pay is $15 per 1-hour mentor session.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide individual & small group tutoring to student-athletes in assigned subjects within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations. (40% of time)
• Assist students in improving academic achievement in weekly meetings that clarify concepts, enhance study skills, and review class materials within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations. (40% of time)
• File reports on sessions & follow all departmental policies. (10% of time)
• Attends mandatory trainings. (5% of time)
• Communicate with student’s other support staff team members. (5% of time)

Additional Schedule Information: 1 hour session – $15.00 an hour
