Athletic Trainer

Burris Laboratory School welcomes applications for a qualified athletic trainer to support student athletics.

This position provides an opportunity to support the health, safety, and performance of student-athletes through injury prevention, athletic training services, and on-site care during practices and events. The athletic trainer will work closely with coaches and staff to promote safe participation, respond to injuries and emergencies, and assist with sport-specific conditioning programs that support student success.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• A. Work with coaches to ensure safety of athletes.
• B. Attend games and practices as determined by schedule and need.
• C. Support coaching staff in evaluating and implementing sport specific conditioning programs and methods.
• D. Develop injury prevention programs and providing athletic training services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Sports Management, Exercise Science, or related field from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advance degree in Sports Management; medical professional certification; experience serving as exercise specialist or trainer.
