Job Summary/Basic Function:
This position can be filled as an Accountant I or Senior Accountant depending on candidate qualifications. Duties and responsibilities of the position are listed below.
- Revenue & Receivables: Perform comprehensive reconciliation of auxiliary revenue streams, including Bookstore POS systems, Union event management software, and Housing student ledgers.
- Inventory & COGS: Oversee valuation and auditing of Bookstore merchandise and Union retail inventory; calculate and record monthly Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
- Debt & Compliance: Monitor net operating income for Housing and Union funds to ensure compliance with bond covenants and debt service coverage ratios.
- Internal Billing: Manage inter-departmental transfers and "chargebacks" for campus units utilizing Bookstore supplies, Union catering, or Housing summer conferences.
- Reporting: Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements for all Auxiliary Enterprise funds, highlighting variances in seasonal revenue cycles.

- Bachelors Degree in accounting or related field
- 2-years of accounting or general business experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

- Higher education/regulatory experience
- Masters degree
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Banner Ellucian or other general ERP system experience
- General understanding of financial system database and related system process workflows
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
