"Baker A"

Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Baker A for Dining Services.

Among the key duties of this positions are the following:

• Takes a leading role in the overall operation of the Bake Shop.
• Guides and instructs a group of lower grade bakers and kitchen helpers in a variety of baking operations to comply with standardized recipes, prescribe procedures, master menus, and production schedules.
• Prepares bakery good and pastry for catered affairs or special events.
• Performs all of the duties of the group.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High school/vocational school education or equivalent and three years of baking experience in a large volume institutional or restaurant setting.
