"Building Environmental Services Technician"

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and care for Prospector and other Dining Services buildings, offices, studios, and other State buildings.
• Maintain equipment, return to designated storage areas, and keep in good working order.
• Providing excellent customer service to the students, faculty, staff and business partners.
• Compile and maintain checklists and report needs to management.
• Assist the management in testing and making recommendations on supply and equipment purchases.
• Maintain various types of floor surfaces to include vacuuming, spotting, and gum removal.
• Follow established Business Affairs, UNC Charlotte, and State policies and procedures.

Minimum Experience / Education:

Required Minimum Qualifications: Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions, and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred Education Skills and Experience: Experience with housekeeping in a food service or University setting. Excellent customer service experience. Displays positive, professional behavior ability to act independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to lift and move furniture.
