The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is one of the nation's largest medical schools... Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.

Job Summary

The Business Manager 2 will serve as the lead manager for the St. Joseph's Candler Residency Programs. This position collaborates with the Savannah UME/GME campus leadership, Program leadership, Central GME leadership, St. Joseph's Candler leadership and administrative staff to assist with the day-to-day financial, administrative and educational operations of the St. Josephs Candler Residency Programs.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Recruitment / Administrative Management

  • Serve as part of the Residency Program Management team...
  • Field all questions from prospective resident applicants...
  • Set up resident interviews...
  • Create processes for tracking data...
  • Supervise and direct the residency program coordinator...

Clinical Experience, Educational Scheduling and Credentialing

  • Creates, monitors, and disseminates schedules...
  • Monitors completion and compliance of work hour logs.
  • Assist with the credentialing process...
  • Ensure proper documentation is kept on all teaching faculty and residents.

Didactics and Education

  • Schedule speakers for didactic teaching sessions...
  • Create and maintain tools that track residents¿ progression towards milestones...
  • Assist with any remedial actions...
  • Assist with scheduling and tracking scholarly work.
  • Maintain the performance standards...
  • Disseminate program policies...

Finance & Operations

  • Work with the Program Director and hospital leadership...
  • Process travel authorizations...
  • Work with SJC on expenses directly paid by them.
  • Reconcile monthly financial reports...
  • Process paperwork to hire core faculty...
  • Meet expectations of the central GME office...

Other

Additional duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related discipline with three years of administrative management experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required...)

Pay Band: 13

Salary: Minimum $68,500.00/Annually Salary to be commensurate with qualifications...

Recruitment Period: 12/11/25 - Until Filled
