Position Summary

The Campaign Manager will serve as a key driver of campaign success. This talented professional will work with the Vice President for University Advancement (VP), AVP for Development (AVP), the Advancement team, University Leadership, and other colleagues internally and externally to plan, manage, implement, and evaluate all comprehensive campaign activities to ensure success.

This role requires a professional who is extraordinarily well-organized, motivated, deadline and outcomes focused, and who can manage multiple tasks and responsibilities at once. The successful teammate in this role will be an effective communicator and a team player who knows how to deliver results with influence and tact.

Essential Duties

The Campaign Manager will work with the VP, AVP, and other Advancement and University leadership to:

  • Manage day-to-day campaign-related issues, tracking and reporting on the progress of the campaign, and serve as principal staff support to the VP and AVP on campaign-related issues.
  • Manage the campaign timeline and calendar to produce key deliverables.
  • Manage external vendors whose work is related to campaign.
  • Create, implement, and manage a dashboard that identifies, tracks, and measures progress toward campaign goals, milestones, and key metrics to regularly assess progress. Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify, monitor, and activate data needed to effectively manage the progress of the campaign.
  • Ensure progress on major gift prospect solicitations to support campaign initiatives, including working with AVP and others to make sure that the University's process for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors is effective and delivering the outcomes needed. Collaborate with President's Office, trustees, and other University leadership to support their work with major donors.
  • Prepare and update regular communications about campaign progress to internal and external constituencies. Partner with University Marketing and Communications and external vendors to deliver compelling, inspiring communications messaging and materials that effectively tell the story of the campaign and demonstrate evidence of impact.
  • Coordinate with students, faculty, staff, Christian Brothers, and other members of the campus community to effectively engage donors with the campaign through testimonial support.
  • Deliver meaningful and strategic stewardship communications and experiences that effectively express gratitude and demonstrate impact of giving to support the campaign. Stewardship will include messages, materials, events, and experiences.
  • Work with events and engagement partners internally and externally to develop, plan, and execute impactful experiences and events that support the campaign.
  • Organize and coordinate training for staff, faculty, and volunteers to speak with one voice and to align effort and energy with the campaign plan and intended outcomes.
  • Coordinate and lead volunteers whose contributions of time and talent are organized and focused to deliver maximum impact.
  • Regularly interact with the senior leadership of the University, key volunteers, trustees, major gift prospects, members of the University Advancement staff, and the La Salle University community.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project management.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated discretion, sound judgment, and ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Strong research and data analysis skills with a customer service mindset and a focus on prioritization and execution.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and work respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Professional presence with intellectual depth, maturity, and credibility to earn the trust of colleagues, donors, and institutional partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM/database systems; willingness to adopt new technologies.
  • Demonstrated drive for success coupled with integrity, sincerity, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management experience in fundraising or development.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours

  • Local and regional travel will be required.
  • Weekend and evening work as responsibilities require.
