POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for planning and executing campus visits, virtual programs, and admissions events that serve as key touchpoints for prospective students and their families. This position works in close collaboration with admissions staff, marketing staff, student ambassadors, faculty, and campus partners to ensure all interactions are professionally coordinated, informative, and reflective of the institution's values and standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of campus visits and admissions events, ensuring seamless, mission-aligned experiences that engage prospective students and families.
- Oversee daily campus visit operations, including scheduling, logistics, hospitality, and communication workflows that reflect Seton Hill's welcoming culture.
- Plan and execute signature and special admissions events (e.g., Open Houses, Accepted Student Days, Information Sessions, group visits), driving attendance and meaningful engagement.
- Supervise, train, and mentor student ambassadors and graduate assistant(s), cultivating a professional, service-oriented team environment.
- Collaborate with campus partners, including academics, residence life, dining, athletics, and student services, to design visit and event experiences that showcase the full student experience.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students and families, ensuring timely, professional communication throughout the visit and event process.
- Oversee event and visit logistics, including space reservations, catering, transportation, technology, materials, signage, and accessibility.
- Utilize Slate and related systems to manage registration, scheduling, communication, and reporting with accuracy and efficiency.
- Partner with Marketing to develop event-related content, including website descriptions and promotional materials.
- Evaluate and enhance visit and event strategies using data, feedback, and industry trends, and recommend improvements aligned with enrollment goals.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring responsible use of resources and strong return on investment.
- Analyze feedback from attendees and student ambassadors to drive continuous improvement.
- Champion a welcoming, inclusive, and student-centered experience that encourages visitors to envision themselves at Seton Hill.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position supervises student tour guides, interns, and graduate assistant(s.)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering an exceptional, student-centered guest experience.
- 3+ years of experience in event planning, hospitality, admissions, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with students, families, and campus partners.
- Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the University in both small and large group settings.
- Ability to think critically, solve problems, and adapt in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to support campus visits and admissions events.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in college admissions, higher education, or event management.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Slate or other event/registration platforms.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience, particularly working with student employees or volunteers.
- Experience in hospitality, customer service, or guest experience-focused roles.
