Job Summary
The incumbent is responsible for the general oversight of the Department of Education and Psychology, including undergraduate and graduate degree programs, administration and budgets and personnel, recruitment and retention, strategic planning, and establishment/maintenance of productive professional relationships to effectively achieve the goals and objective of the Department.

Essential Job Functions
- Provides essential leadership to develop and enhance undergraduate and graduate instructional programs, in concert with program faculty
- Develops and monitors the scheduling of courses and faculty teaching assignments for optimal distribution of faculty time between teaching, research and extension, while ensuring students graduate within the time allotted for the degree
- Works with the faculty to upgrade courses and curricula, as needed, to ensure graduating students are nationally and globally competitive
- Develops and implements effective student recruitment and retention strategies in collaboration with faculty and staff, Dean and others
- Serves as liaison with the private sector, government agencies, and professional associations Teaches at least one (1) course per semester in field of expertise
- Leads departmental planning, management and evaluation activities, including institutional effectiveness for accreditation
Qualifications
- Education, Psychology, or related field of study from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years’ teaching experience at the college or university level
- Teaching and research qualifying incumbent for at least the rank of Associate Professor in the Area of Specialization
- Experience planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating teaching and research business-related programs at the university level
