  • Interact directly with the chairs of relevant KINSC-based departments and programs (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Neuroscience, Physics and Astronomy, Psychology, and other relevant programs) and Fine Arts on an as needed basis with respect to chemicals/labs, in collaboration with Campus Safety Coordinator
  • Supervise student workers involved in inventory-related and other safety or related program support activities as needed

  • Serve as the KINSC liaison with Facilities Management for building and infrastructure issues, and work proactively with Facilities to maintain and update necessary infrastructure for safe and effective science laboratory operations, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and electronic services
  • Attend the weekly Facilities Meeting to advocate for KINSC building needs and learn of overall Campus Facilities initiatives
  • Coordinate with department and program scientific support staff (instrument specialists, laboratory technicians, etc.), and Academic Department/Program Chairs in facilities management of and general oversight of building infrastructure across KINSC buildings. Report building maintenance issues as needed
