Chief Advancement Officer and Executive Director of the Foundation
Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Tompkins Cortland Community College in the search for a Chief Advancement Officer and Executive Director of the Foundation.
Reporting to the President, the Chief Advancement Officer/Executive Director will lead development, alumni relations, and the Tompkins Cortland Community Foundation, acting as the liaison between the Foundation, the college community, donors, and the public on all matters related to philanthropy. The Chief Advancement Officer/Executive Director will collaborate to provide long-range strategic planning, leadership, and day-to-day administration of the Foundation, serving as the College’s principal fundraiser, and will be responsible for fostering positive relationships with constituents of the college and external community to secure philanthropic support for college priorities. As a collaborative member of the President’s staff, the Chief Advancement Officer/Executive Director will participate in strategic discussions, formulate policy recommendations related to the position’s area of responsibility, support planning and advocacy with philanthropic and foundation funders, and fully engage in the college’s annual budget, planning, and evaluation processes.

A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least five years of experience is required for this position. The Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification is preferred. Tompkins Cortland Community College will consider candidates with a broad range of backgrounds. The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000.
