Job Summary

The VC, Fiscal Affairs and CFO has ultimate oversight over all financial aspects of the college. This position advises the Chancellor regarding the potential financial impact to the college of any decision or circumstances that may arise.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare monthly financial reports for the BOR
• Provide input to Chancellor's Cabinet to facilitate the operational needs of the college
• Organize the creation and implementation of the annual college budget; approve day-to-day purchases and adjustments to the existing budget
• Prepare and submit federal and state financial reports
• Provide input to the Chancellor for strategic financial decisions
• Supervise and provide support to financial aid, comptroller, purchasing and asset management, and executive director of fiscal affairs.
• Implement and administer goals / objectives, as well as policies and procedures necessary to provide assigned services.
• Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution.

Required Education

Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Interpret financial data, including financial statements
• Managerial / supervisory skills
• Ability to work with financial spreadsheets
• Develop, interpret and apply college policy
• Ability to work well with staff, Cabinet, BOR, and college community
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

Required Experience

Ten (10) years strong business / financial background experience

Public sector experience a plus

Preferred Experience

Eight (8) years of experience in higher education administration roles preferred
