  • Remuneration: $94,099 to $106,134 pa. (HEW 5) (inclusive of $79,514 to $89,685 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Kelvin Grove

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join Facilities Management, Administrative Division.

The Cleaning Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the consistency and quality of service provided by cleaning staff, contractors and client service officers. This position involves activities associated with monitoring and improving the quality of cleaning services, reviewing the service delivery and taking appropriate action to resolve issues associated with cleaning contractors and staff performance.

The Facilities Management Department within the Administrative Division is responsible for managing the process of design, construction, maintenance and operation of the physical facilities, and the provision of a range of support services across the University's two main campuses at Gardens Point, Kelvin Grove and a range of smaller offsite facilities.

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a degree in relevant field. 
  2. Demonstrated ability to supervise or coordinate the work of others and establish effective working teams in order to achieve objectives. 
  3. Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to plan tasks, set realistic time frames, develop priorities and achieve deadlines. 
  4. Demonstrated computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and web-based applications, with proven ability to maintain records with a high degree of accuracy. 
  5. Proven ability to liaise effectively and confidently with people at all levels, with well developed oral and written communication skills. 
  6. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant Queensland Workplace Health and Safety legislation together with experience in its application in the workplace.
