Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor for the proposed Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program - 2 positions to be filled
The Department of Physical Therapy invites applications for two 12-month full-time Clinical faculty positions at the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor for our pre-accreditation status Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. These core faculty positions will require teaching, advisement, scholarship and service responsibilities. The appointments can begin as early as Fall 2025.
Preferred Qualifications: American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists (ABPTS). Academic doctoral degree (PhD, DSc, ScD, EdD, or equivalent). Previous experience teaching in a physical therapy education program. Experience with curriculum development and assessment. Evidence of professional development activities and continuing education. Knowledge of physical therapy accreditation standards and educational best practices. Experience with clinical research or evidence-based practice initiatives. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The proposed Doctor of Physical Therapy Program will be housed in Conroe, Texas on SHSU's Medical and Health Professions Campus, and will matriculate students in August 2027.
