Clinical Assistant Professor A and B – GP Academic Supervisor

The role is based at Bond University main campus (Robina), with duties performed onsite, online and at various clinical sites as needed.
The GP Supervisor for Integrated Placements contributes to medical student teaching and assessment during integrated clinical placements. The role is based at main campus with duties performed onsite, online and at various clinical sites as needed. The role will support academic supervision for students undertaking an integrated clinical placement in child health and women’s health.
GP Supervisors for Integrated Placements ensure that students translate theoretical learning to clinical practice, consolidating cross-cutting generalist clinical skills across multiple disciplines and address learning gaps. The Supervisor provides small group teaching and facilitates peer to peer teaching during clinical placements. This role facilitates students transitioning from pre-clinical to clinical placements and between community and hospital placement environments and vice versa.
About the person
We are looking for candidates to have the following:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner in Australia
- Currently working as a clinical GP in a community general practice setting
- The position level will be determined in accordance with experience and qualifications. For Assistant Professor Level A, the candidate must be a registered specialist general practitioner; and Level B requires the candidate to be a registered medical practitioner
- Candidates will have an excellent working knowledge of general practice and be able to utilise their networks and social capital to enhance student learning opportunities.
Salary details
- Assistant Professor A remuneration commences at $80,102.41 (0.5 FTE) per annum (Full-time Equivalent is $160,204.81 per annum) plus 12% superannuation. Assistant Professor B equates to Australian Public University position of Senior Lecturer (Level C).
- Assistant Professor B remuneration commences at $67,396.21 (0.5 FTE) per annum (Full-time Equivalent is $134,792.41 plus 12% superannuation. Assistant Professor B equates to Australian Public University position of Lecturer (Level B).
This position will be eligible for clinical loading prorated at $17,305.56 (0.5 FTE) per annum (Full-time Equivalent $34,611.12 per annum) plus 12% superannuation.
