Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as Clinical Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance housed in the School of Accountancy and assigned to the Executive MBA Program in the Coles College of Business, with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position and is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
Teaching (4:3 Load)
- Teach accounting and finance courses exclusively in the Executive MBA Program.
- Deliver high-quality instruction in accounting and finance courses tailored to experienced professionals in the Executive MBA program.
- Design and update course materials to reflect current industry practices, executive-level decision-making, and strategic financial management.
- Incorporate experiential learning, case studies, and executive-level projects into the curriculum.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, supporting their academic and professional growth.
- Maintain regular and flexible office hours and be accessible to EMBA students for academic support and mentoring.
- Initiate, coordinate, and run 2-4 EMBA courses as the Faculty Team Lead.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Service
- Actively participate in EMBA program activities, including orientation sessions, residencies, and graduation events.
- Collaborate with program leadership and faculty to support curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve on departmental or college-level committees as assigned.
- Engage with alumni and industry partners to enhance the visibility and impact of the EMBA program.
- Support recruitment efforts and represent the program at internal and external events.
- Participate and coordinate in Assurance of Learning initiatives for AACSB and SACSCOC.
Research
- Maintain an active research pipeline in accounting, finance, or related fields, with a focus on applied or pedagogical scholarship relevant to graduate-level education.
- Present research at academic or practitioner conferences and pursue publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Seek opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and industry engagement to inform research and teaching.
- Stay current with developments in the field and integrate relevant insights into course content.
Required Qualifications
- An earned Ph.D., or the foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline, is required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant level of corporate experience relevant to the role due to the educator-practitioner nature of this position.
- High level of professional engagement in local, regional, and professional organizations and relevant business experience beyond the classroom.
- Evidence of research producing capabilities or productivity, including publication in reputable journals.
- Willingness and ability to work weekends on Saturday and Sunday (spaced every 3 to 4 weeks approximately) and participate/teach in scheduled domestic (GA) and international residencies, including travel abroad.
