About the position

- Level B Classification
- Base salary from $114,855 + 17% superannuation
Reporting to the Clinical Education Lead, Speech Pathology, the Clinical Educator, Paediatric Speech Pathology, is responsible for supporting and supervising students as they develop clinical skills through delivering supervised clinical services. This position involves overseeing student interactions with patients/clients, ensuring quality care, and maintaining professional standards. At Level B, Clinical Educators supervise students during clinical placements, participate in professional development to maintain registration, and assess students' clinical competencies. Key duties include applying clinical knowledge, utilizing communication and negotiation skills, collaborating with academic staff, providing guidance and feedback to students, mentoring, and undertaking relevant administrative tasks.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- A master’s degree or equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training, and/or experience as appropriate and recognized by the University/Profession for the relevant discipline.
- Proven ability to provide evidence based assessment and intervention for children with speech and language disorders.
- Proven ability to provide effective supervision of students.
- Demonstrated ability to be effective in teaching clinical skills in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes.
Desirable additional experience in applying evidence-based principles to the assessment and intervention of fluency and voice disorders.
