The Opportunity:
Are you passionate about hands-on learning and supporting the next generation of nursing professionals? The College of Nursing on the Spokane, WA campus is seeking a dedicated, part-time Clinical Performance Lab Preceptor to play a vital role in preparing pre-licensure nursing students for clinical success.
In this exciting and student-focused role, under general direction, you'll collaborate with faculty to design and develop clinical skills labs-from foundational techniques to advanced procedures. Drawing on your own knowledge and experience in the field of nursing, you'll help guide students in applying theory to practice, building their confidence and competence in a supportive, dynamic learning environment.

What You'll Do:
- Facilitate clinical skills labs for pre-licensure nursing students, providing direct hands-on guidance and support.
- Partner with faculty to design lab experiences that reflect current industry standards.
- Assist students to integrate nursing theory and problem solving when developing competence in nursing skills.
- Maintain lab equipment, inventory, and learning resources used for skills practice and validation.
- Assess lab needs and coordinate the setup of resources to support learning skills from entry level to complex advanced level.

This is a part time (50% FTE), 10-month (typical schedule follows the academic year, August-May) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $2,108.00 to $2,833.00 | Range 47 | Steps A- M. (pro-rated)
Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree with major study in a basic applied science AND two years of full-time experience as a Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 2; OR equivalent education/experience.
- Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in State of Washington, or ability to obtain licensure by time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year acute care experience.
- Experience teaching or as a preceptor.
- Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate with diverse internal and external constituencies.
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.
