About the role

Are you highly organised, great with people, and experienced in providing administrative support?

We’re looking for a Cluster Support Officer to join our team in the College of Vocational Education (CoVE).

This is a varied and dynamic administrative role, supporting educators and program teams to deliver great student outcomes.

As a Cluster Support Officer, you’ll work closely with Program Managers and Coordinators to provide day-to-day admin support, help coordinate projects, and keep things running smoothly. You’ll also play a role in improving processes, enhancing the student experience, and supporting effective use of funding.

The role sits within an embedded support model and reports to the Operations Coordinator, with a strong connection to the cluster's leadership. It offers a mix of business-as-usual administration and project-based tasks that align with the College’s operational needs.

We’re looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive, collaborative approach. You’ll be adaptable, organised, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced education environment.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality administrative and customer service support within a complex organisational environment, including managing queries and supporting the implementation of processes across multiple priorities.

Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain strong attention to detail, and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to apply communications templates to prepare clear and accurate correspondence and documentation for a variety of audiences.

Demonstrated flexibility, initiative, and adaptability, with the ability to work independently under broad direction and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

Demonstrated ability to support the implementation of operational processes and contribute to process improvements, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, data accuracy, and student and operational outcomes.

Proven ability to use information and communication technologies effectively, including Microsoft Office 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams and relevant data systems, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Victorian Employee Working with Children and a National Police Check.
