About This Opportunity

Join a collaborative and future‑focused team supporting the University’s global engagement agenda. The International Agreements Officer plays a pivotal role in enabling UQ’s international partnerships by coordinating agreement documentation, providing procedural advice, and supporting robust governance processes. Working closely with the Manager, International Agreements, and the International Agreements and Operations Team, you will contribute to high‑quality outcomes in a fast‑paced, time‑critical environment while supporting continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing guidance to internal stakeholders on processes for establishing and managing international agreements.
  • Preparing, coordinating and maintaining agreement documentation, including approval memos, template agreements and executive sign‑off materials.
  • Producing reports and data on UQ’s active international agreements, including coordination of annual review and expiry processes.
  • Managing accurate record keeping and supporting compliance activities, including foreign arrangement notifications and use of internal CRM systems.

About You

You will bring strong organisational capability, attention to detail, and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset, with the confidence to manage competing priorities and contribute positively within a collaborative team environment.

  • Completion of a degree with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Well‑developed written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to draft accurate and professional correspondence and reports.
  • Proven experience in administrative or coordination roles requiring strong time management, accuracy and deadline focus.
  • High‑level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems, with the ability to collect, analyse and report on information.
  • Experience contributing to process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives, including appropriate use of digital and AI tools.
  • Ability to work under general direction, exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality, and manage competing priorities.

Knowledge of the higher education sector, international education, or relevant legislative frameworks is desirable, or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
