College Assistant Professor in Public Law and American Judicial Institutions
The position consists of 75% teaching and 25% service. Teaching duties include delivering three 3-credit undergraduate upper-division courses per semester in the field of public law and American Judicial Institutions, as well as teaching a one-credit Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) Prep class once per year as a paid overload. Service duties involve coordinating the interdisciplinary Supplemental Major in Law and serving as the chief prelaw adviser for NMSU main campus students. Additional service includes active participation in departmental functions such as the Undergraduate Committee, annual program evaluations, and the scholarship selection process, along with contributing to the college, university, and broader professional community as appropriate and outlined in the annual allocation of effort.
