The Strategic Engagement Directorate leads the University’s communications, media, and stakeholder engagement functions, shaping how CQUniversity connects with its communities. This includes delivering corporate communications, managing media relations, and driving campaigns that promote the University’s impact in education, research, and innovation.

As a key member of the Communications team, you will play an important role in telling CQUniversity’s story and strengthening its public profile. You will contribute to communication projects and campaigns, partnering with stakeholders to develop strategies that enhance engagement, while delivering integrated content across media, social and digital channels. You will also monitor performance and provide insights to continuously improve communication outcomes.

We are seeking a proactive and creative communications professional with experience in media, corporate communications, and digital content. You will confidently manage competing priorities, build strong relationships, and deliver high-quality, on-brand communications aligned with strategic priorities.

Position Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in media relations, including developing media releases, articles and press materials.
• Proven ability to create and deliver high-quality corporate communications for diverse internal and external audiences.
• Strong working knowledge of social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, monitoring and optimisation.
• Highly developed interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes under pressure.
