About the Role

The Manager, Communications and Engagement - Ad Astra_2030 will lead the development and delivery of integrated communications and engagement initiatives that support Swinburne’s transformation journey.

The strategy outlines how Swinburne will accelerate into the future through four Quantum Leaps, representing our commitment to pioneering new frontiers in technology, innovation and equity.

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Change and Engagement and working closely with the Ad Astra Enterprise Change Lead and the Swinburne Communications team, this role will support transformational change across the university. The Manager will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build on the established change narrative and support delivery of the four Quantum Leaps, nine transformation programs and related initiatives.

The role will also create engaging communications that ensure internal and external audiences are informed and connected to Swinburne’s strategy, while promoting initiatives that build capability in entrepreneurial value creation, technology fluency and global impact.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience leading communications and engagement activities as part of a transformational change program, including familiarity with change management tools, techniques or methodologies
  • Significant experience building integrated, multi-channel communications and engagement strategies, campaigns and tactics in large and complex organisations
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high value and successful outcomes in a communication and engagement role
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing communication and engagement initiatives and processes to support them

Qualifications

Postgraduate qualifications in marketing/communications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or ? extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
