JOB TITLE:
Community Outreach Coordinator III - Wyoming Institute for Disabilities
JOB PURPOSE:
Leads the planning, implementation, and evaluation of health and disability-focused community education, training, and outreach initiatives, including UW ECHO programs, inclusive health and disability promotion programs, and other community training efforts, in alignment with the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities' (WIND's) mission. This role oversees program development, stakeholder engagement, grant acquisition and management, interdisciplinary collaboration, and program dissemination to ensure high-quality, impactful programming.
This position is grant funded and considered at-will employment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- UW ECHO Project Management: Plan, implement, facilitate, and evaluate health-focused UW ECHO programs in health; collaborate with stakeholders to design evidence-based programming; recruit and support subject matter experts and case presenters; develop learning objectives and session materials; facilitate virtual ECHO sessions; oversee marketing, engagement, and evaluation activities; inform presenter honorariums and continuing education coordination; and work closely with, including mentorship to, a Community Outreach Coordinator I, including task assignment, quality review, and training.
- Community Training and Education (Health & Disability): Plan, implement, and evaluate non-ECHO community training initiatives; engage stakeholders and support subject matter experts; facilitate training sessions; develop targeted outreach and marketing strategies; contribute to evaluation design and reporting; ensure budget adherence; provide guidance to a Community Outreach Coordinator I; and collaborate with Information and Dissemination and Research and Evaluation teams to meet project objectives.
- Grant Development and Implementation: Identify and co-lead health-focused grant opportunities aligned with WIND's strategic plan; support proposal and budget development; coordinate stakeholder support; and oversee post-award implementation, reporting, and budget compliance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain collaborative relationships with community partners and stakeholders; support recruitment through ongoing engagement; and identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships aligned with WIND's mission and values.
- Outreach: Represent WIND and health-focused programs at local, regional and national conferences and community events through tabling and in-person and virtual presentations; develop visual materials and communicate program outcomes and metrics.
- Provides day-to-day guidance, support, and direction to team members to ensure consistent operations and achievement of goals.
- Leads or coordinates specific projects, initiatives, or tasks within the department or unit, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Makes recommendations regarding budget decisions or resource allocations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in social sciences, public health, or health promotion
Experience: 4 years of experience in program implementation. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- Population and public health practices, healthcare access, and rural health barriers to care.
- Utilizing evidence-based information and research to inform projects and programs.
- Internal and external stakeholder engagement strategies that promote program participation and collaboration.
- Program coordination, outreach, and adult education/training principles.

- Skilled in planning, coordinating, and delivering workshops, meetings, and training sessions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including healthcare professionals, community partners, and individuals with disabilities.

On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
