Job Description Summary
Provide excellent customer service to guests assembled with us for conferences and workshops. Duties similar to those of a hotel front desk attendant. Welcome guests, Check in and Check out guests in summer housing, provide customer service support as needed.

Essential Duties
- Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor.
- Be punctual for scheduled shifts. Once scheduled, you are responsible for either working the shift or finding an approved substitute. Communicate changes in your availability and requested days off, following deadlines.
- Thoroughly and concisely communicate information to guests and other staff members.
- Limit distractions when working, including visitors to your work area and phone/computer distractions.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests assembled with us for conferences and workshops.
- Provide information to guests surrounding their conference arrangements, Miami University and Oxford, Ohio.
- Follow established procedures to check guests in and out of their residence hall rooms, ensuring that security and safety measures are performed when distributing and collecting guest room keys.
- Properly record information on housing roster and key reports
- Communicate information through the log book from one shift to the next.
- Communicate information with the Conference Service Staff and Residence Hall Housekeeping Staff.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Have the willingness to help out when unexpected needs arise.
- Prior customer service or conference experience is preferred.
