We are seeking a motivated and hands-on team member to join our Facilities Management team at our Rockhampton campus, delivering essential support services to ensure the University operates smoothly and efficiently.

In this role, you will contribute to a variety of tasks, including office moves, event setup, furniture relocation, and equipment delivery across the University. You will assist tradespeople such as carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and HVAC technicians, and provide support to other campuses as required. Your duties will also include general maintenance tasks like painting, lock repairs, changing light bulbs, and Test and Tag.

You will help keep the campus grounds in top condition by operating equipment such as tractors, mowers, and whipper-snippers, as well as maintaining fleet vehicles and performing minor servicing of tools and equipment.

Position Requirements

• Experience in building maintenance and general services, including office moves, event setup, and supporting tradespeople.
• Proficiency with computer systems and a solid understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) compliance.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage urgent tasks.
• Physical fitness for manual tasks and willingness to work in areas requiring hearing protection.
• Current Open Manual Driver’s Licence (mandatory).
