Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated CSM Associate I to support the maintenance and operation of greenhouse and growth chamber facilities. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work and want to contribute to a collaborative environment that supports plant science and research.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair of greenhouse systems, including:
  • Environmental sensors and control systems
  • Shade systems, cooling pads, and water pumps
  • High-pressure sodium lights and lighting systems
  • Benches, fixtures, and other structural elements
• Conduct general labor tasks and assist with regular cleaning and upkeep of greenhouses and growth chambers
• Support seasonal maintenance such as system preparation and shutdowns
• Serve as the 24/7 contact for emergency alarms within the greenhouse/growth chambers
• Operate basic tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Travel to off-site locations as needed (valid driver’s license required)
• Perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in warm or humid environments
• Complete additional job-related duties as assigned

Shift

Monday – Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years experience in maintenance is preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range: $17.05 - $29.69 per hour
Grade: GGS-007
