"Custodian Group Leader"

Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Custodian Group Leader for the Division of Institutional Planning and Operations.

Among the key duties are following:

• Leads, oversees, and trains a small group of Custodians in the performance of routine custodial duties and basic maintenance and repair of related University facilities and equipment.
• May assume responsibility for a building, a group of buildings, or a campus sector.
• May assume responsibility for maintaining inventories, work orders and other written forms.
• Performs all duties of a Custodian as required.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Requires two years experience in custodial work. Requires a valid driver's license and two years driving experience, and the successful completion the Rutgers Defensive Driving Course. Requires the ability to read, write and speak English as commensurate with job duties and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Special Conditions:

• Shift hours/Schedule: 2:30pm-11:00pm, Monday through Friday
