About You
The Centre Manager is a key leadership role within the Centre, forming part of the executive team alongside the Director, Deputy Director and Research Director. In this role, you will oversee CCSRI’s operations across its diverse functions, including research activities, events, marketing, courses and training programs, policy initiatives, outreach and related application domains.
You will be accountable for the Centre’s day‑to‑day operations, ensuring all functions run smoothly, efficiently and in line with strategic priorities. You will also ensure Centre projects are effectively managed and delivered on time, on budget and within scope, consistent with the Centre’s objectives.
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy working in an agile, constantly evolving environment with a flat structure where collaboration is encouraged across all activities. You are comfortable working to deadlines, are a hands-on manager who can engage effectively with partners across the University and externally and are keen to build strong connections with industry. There will be opportunities to attend events and conferences and to work closely with industry partners as part of the role.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has high-level interpersonal and professional communication skills, and can work effectively with individuals and teams with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Brings strong project management skills in an industry research context, with the ability to independently manage complex projects, allocate resources, meet timelines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Demonstrates highly developed written and oral communication skills, with excellent attention to detail in complex reports and applications.
- Can work both independently and as part of a team, and liaise confidently with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Has strong diagnostic, analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to identify and drive creative solutions and practical implementation strategies.
- Has experience in financial management and high-level administration within a complex organisation.
- Is confident exercising professional judgement in interpreting, applying and adapting policies, practices and systems that may impact other areas of the organisation.
- Brings demonstrated experience in delivering quality customer service, with sound knowledge and consistent application of institutional policies and procedures, the ability to provide high-level advice, and a commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.

About the Centre for Cyber Security and Innovation
The RMIT University Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation (CCSRI) was established in 2020 within the College of Business and Law. The focus of CCSRI is to develop multi-disciplinary research relating to the organisational, human and technology aspects of Cyber Security.
The mission of the RMIT University Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation (CCSRI) is to be acknowledged as a world-class research centre in multi-disciplinary Cyber Security research and to be acknowledged by Australian and overseas industry and government as a leading source of knowledge and expertise in multi-disciplinary Cyber Security research.
The vision of the RMIT University CCSRI is to be an internationally and nationally research centre that:
- Carries out multi-disciplinary research relating to the organisational, human and technology aspects of Cyber Security;
- Develops and promotes understanding of strategies, policies, and law issues of the Cyber Security challenges for Australia;
