Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data and Compliance Quality Assurance Specialist supports the integrity and effectiveness of the CEJA Aurora Workforce Hub's reporting and documentation processes. This role is responsible for reviewing student screening records, financial aid documentation, and key performance metrics to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. The Specialist collaborates closely with the Workforce Hub Director to conduct audits, generate compliance reports, and recommend improvements to enhance data accuracy, documentation standards, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and audits of student and financial aid records
- Prepare and present detailed compliance reports based on audit findings.
- Monitor and track compliance issues; document resolutions and corrective actions.
- Analyze student records for inconsistencies, trends, or process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with CEJA staff to maintain documentation integrity and compliance with institutional standards.
- Identify and communicate non-compliance issues; support staff in implementing corrective actions.
- Review financial aid processes, packaging, awarding, and disbursement-to ensure alignment with relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all financial aid activities in accordance with policy.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Finance, or a related field required or equivalent experience required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial aid, compliance, or a related role, with an understanding of federal and state financial aid regulations required. Familiarity with financial aid documentation and auditing processes required. Data analysis and background in this skill set is preferred. Experience with reporting systems and databases is preferred (Illinois Worknet).
Working Conditions:
This program will operate from the city of Aurora. This position requires a background check and drug screen.
Hiring Range:
Starting pay begins at $60,064 based on experience. Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
