Digital Education Support Assistant

The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) provides a hub for educational enhancement activities at Oxford, bringing together expertise in teaching, learning, assessment and digital education. We work in partnership with departments, faculties and students to inform and empower communities of educators, supporting Oxford’s outstanding personalised teaching. CTL promotes flexible and inclusive educational practices, leads and evaluates initiatives that address inequalities in academic participation and attainment, and works to realise a holistic, integrated digital learning environment that helps students and staff navigate Oxford’s complex educational ecosystem. About the Role
The Digital Education Support Assistant will work to deliver services and projects across the Digital Education Group. You will work with colleagues on key areas such as the service desk, triaging queries and offering basic advice and guidance, as well as providing data administration and course-building skills to assist colleagues across the University.

You will help the Digital Education Coordinator and the broader team in the Centre for Teaching and Learning collect information and data to help us ensure we successfully deliver our commitments.

There will be opportunities to contribute to other centrally delivered work areas, such as training, guidance, and user groups, enabling you to extend your skills, knowledge, and understanding of tools, processes, and concepts, and to progress a career in learning technology.

About You
You will have experience working in an administrative or course support role, with a track record of delivering outstanding customer service. Enjoying learning new software, having strong problem-solving skills, and having an interest in digital education are essential.

Your good listening and questioning skills will help you better understand users' needs and interpret their requirements accurately and efficiently. Excellent written English will enable you to tailor communications to your audience. You will be able to work with minimal supervision, use your initiative, and take responsibility for solving problems and resolving issues.

You will be able to handle a busy, varied workload and demonstrate a proven track record of delivering on time and to a high standard. Your good interpersonal skills will enable you to work with tact and diplomacy to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
