About the Role

The Director, Enterprise Change & Engagement provides strategic leadership across the University’s enterprise change, engagement, and communications agenda, ensuring major strategic, operational, and cultural transformations are well planned, clearly articulated, and sustainably embedded. The role plays a critical part in enabling successful change by shaping a coherent, institution wide approach that supports organisational readiness and long-term adoption.

Positioned within the Strategy & Transformation function, the role integrates enterprise change strategy with purposeful communications and engagement to create a compelling narrative that connects strategy, transformation initiatives, leadership intent, and staff experience. By maintaining a clear and consistent enterprise change story, the Director helps minimise change saturation and ensures leaders, staff, and key stakeholders understand what is changing, why it matters, and how they can contribute to success.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of an enterprise change strategy aligned to the University’s strategic plan and transformation priorities.
  • Provide oversight of change impact, readiness, and adoption across the enterprise, including sequencing, capacity, and cultural considerations.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise wide change frameworks, methodologies, and standards which align business, transformation and delivery change management approaches across SUT.
  • Lead the University’s enterprise transformation communications and engagement approach, ensuring clarity, consistency, and credibility of messaging.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of integrated communications plans supporting strategy execution, major programs, and reform initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director, Strategy & Transformation, senior leaders, and governance bodies on enterprise change and engagement risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • A postgraduate degree level qualification in a relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
