We are seeking an exceptional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leader to step into this new and pivotal Director Kurongkurl Katitjin role, driving University-wide impact, experience, and engagement for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategy, lead the high-performing Student Success team, and deliver meaningful outcomes across recruitment, participation, retention, and student success for ECU’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous) you will lead the Kurongkurl Katitjin Centre’s strategic and operational direction—overseeing innovative programs, strengthening community partnerships, and embedding Indigenous perspectives across the University’s teaching, learning, and research environment.
You will:
Have influence into driving transformative strategies that improve student access, success, and wellbeing
Lead and inspire a dedicated team delivering high-impact programs and services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students University wide
Build strong relationships with Indigenous communities, schools, and key internal and external stakeholders and community partners
Provide expert advice to the PVCI on policy, strategy, and Indigenous student matters
Champion a culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful environment.
