Director of MSN Entry Program
Job Summary
This is a College of Graduate Nursing Administration-level position within Western University of Health Science and is offered in conjunction with a faculty appointment. Together, the administrative role of Director of MSN-Entry Program (PCN A03955) and the faculty role (PCN F03301) comprise a full-time position (1.0 FTE).
The salary range listed in this posting represents the total compensation for the combined Administrative and Faculty responsibilities. Please refer to the corresponding job posting under our Faculty jobs section for details on the additional assignment.The Director is responsible for the implementation and coordination of the MSN-Entry Program. The Director will report to the Site Dean.
Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $125,000.00 Annually
Maximum: $125,000.00 Annually

- Ability to communicate with others, both in person and by using computers, telephones, and written communications.
- Ability to interact effectively with administration, faculty, staff, students, and outside contacts.
- Ability to provide academic and professional leadership in policy formulation.
- Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to use a personal computer and to access information through the Internet and communicate via e-mail.
- Ability to work with and cooperate with supervisory personnel at all levels.
- Organizational skills necessary in prioritizing workload and delegating responsibility.
- Knowledge of historic and current nursing education practices and standards.
- Knowledge and skill with the application of computer-based learning principles and practices.
- Knowledge and skill with the application of distance learning principles and standards.
- Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Must possess a Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year experience in higher education or nursing administration as program director, department chair or similar, and have one year of full-time teaching experience in nursing. State board of nursing approved for teaching in a required subject area.
Licensure:
- Must possess a current RN license.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- A doctorate in Nursing or related field.
