Job Description
The Director of Student Affairs provides leadership and management for the Office of Student Affairs at the Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine at Orange Park (LMU-OPCVM). Working in close partnership with and under the guidance of the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, the Director develops, implements, and evaluates programs that enhance student life and wellness, coordinates student support services, and manages major student-focused events such as orientation, the white coat ceremony, and commencement. This role is key to advancing student engagement, professional development, and holistic support across OPCVM.
Required Qualifications
masters degree in related program of study minimum two years experience at a postsecondary institution or related experience
Preferred Qualifications
knowledge of university program goals and objectives familiarity with veterinary medical field relevant experience in higher education

Job Duties
- Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students
- Plan, implement, and evaluate student activities sponsored by Student Affairs.
- Oversee student club activities and advise members on maintaining records of their finances.
- Ensure that programs are within the guidelines of the university.
- Serve as an advisor and purchasing agent for student organizations.
- Resolve student/faculty issues in a manner consistent with LMU policies and procedures
- Plan events such as Career Day or Graduation Receptions to recognize students academic success
- Design and propose new ideas for OPCVM events and student organizations
- Supervise assigned wellness events
- Oversee student activities fairs
- Plan an annual budget for the Office of Student Affairs
- Create and publish monthly calendars and newsletters hosted by Student Affairs
- Coordinate with other departments, offices, or agencies across campus.
- Provide leadership to professional clubs and oversee programs designed to advance health and welfare for members of the OPCVM.
- Collaborate with other departments to support student recruitment efforts
- Represent administration in program accreditation reports and other necessary reports
- Participate in campus development programs to enhance effective management of the Office of Student Affairs
- Hire, conduct required annual appraisals, approve merit raises or promotions within the Office of Student Affairs
- Lead program/major proposal and change process as needed
- Provide periodic program updates to the department.
- Provide budget input and participate in the LMU purchasing process
